The 2025 Australasian Hospitality and Gaming Expo (AHG Expo) was a resounding success for Quantaco as we connected with the vibrant Brisbane hospitality community alongside our colleagues CTB AND CO.
Despite challenges posed by Cyclone Alfred, the event was held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, bringing together 200 exhibitors and 4000 visitors over two days, showcasing the latest in hospitality, gaming, entertainment, and more.
Overcoming Alfred
Cyclone Alfred brought heavy rainfall, flooding, power outages, and road closures across Brisbane and southeast Queensland, causing widespread disruption.
However, we were fortunate to get our team and materials in safely as the weather cleared up. The resilience and determination of not just those holding the event, but the entire local community was fantastic, and we hope the event provided a much-needed boost to the local hospitality sector in trying times.
Insights from Our Team
Head of Sales Mike Swanander shared his insights on the importance of clubs in the Queensland hospitality ecosystem, providing services to members and supporting community initiatives. Swanander noted, “In addition to the pub scene, I’m constantly learning more about how crucial clubs are to Queensland’s social fabric and economy, serving over 4 million members, employing over 24,000, and bringing in $2.2 billion annually.” *
Myles Czinner, Quantaco’s Queensland-based BDM, spoke as an authority on the challenges facing clubs, and how Quantaco can help. Czinner stated “The significant social, demographic, and regulatory changes over the past 15 years have hugely impacted the scene. Our clubs love the clarity that comes from seeing the whole picture with Quantaco. Managing your club can’t be a guessing game, when clubs use Quantaco’s solutions for their accounting, wage management, cash settlement, and more, they gain real time data to make informed decisions about what’s happening in their venue.”
