Over 300 hoteliers and industry suppliers were in attendance for a fantastic (but very wet) event at the 10th annual AHA charity race day on Saturday 30th April at Newcastle Racecourse.
As sponsors, we didn’t let it dampen our spirits as we were there to raise money for two very worthwhile charities:
- Variety, The Children’s Charity – Who provides practical help that makes an immediate difference to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people.
- Hunter Children’s Research Foundation (HCRF) – Which raises funds for important research into children’s terminal and debilitating illnesses.
In attendance was our very own Scott Barber, Michael Vamos, John Kay, James Sharp, Kerona Singh, Amy Parkinson, and David Prince. While sadly rain ultimately stopped the racing after 6 races meaning the 8th race, sponsored by Quantaco didn’t run, it was an excellent opportunity to mix with our industry colleagues and enjoy the racing that did happen.
